Healthcare Services

  • Natural Medicine is a form of wellness care that aims at stimulating the body’s self-healing capacity. The Axon Movement approach to natural medicine involves restoring the proper functioning of biological systems (gastrointestinal, nervous, lymphoid, immune, etc.) through the use of science-based therapies and technologies.

The most common methodologies used in our practice include:

    Functional Medicine

    Kinesiology

    Homeopathy

    Myokinesthetics

    Neuromuscular Therapy

    Advanced Healing Technologies

Our natural healthcare services are to be considered complementary medicine rather than an alternative to standard medical care. Axon Movement practitioners do not provide a medical diagnosis or recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments. You should inform your doctor if you are using alternative therapies.

  • Kinesiology is the study of human body movement, performance, and function. The application of kinesiology can be used to uncover sources of interrupted nerve flow in and through the body.

A lack of energy in the nerves that feed a muscle can lead to muscles that are weak and do not function properly.

Kinesiology can also be used to test organ stress and nutritional deficiency.

  • Myokinesthetic Therapy is a revolutionary approach to musculoskeletal therapy.

Myokinesthetic nerve stimulation has an immediate effect on tissues. Muscles that are “too tight” relax and muscles that are “too weak” strengthen, resulting in decreased or eliminated pain and improved biomechanics.

Myokinesthetic Therapy is ideal for long-standing pain conditions that have not resolved from other forms of care (i.e. Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Massage, Acupuncture, Orthopedics)

  • Neuromuscular Therapy works by addressing:

Trigger Points – Trigger points are highly irritable points in the nervous system that show up as knots in the muscles.

Nerve Entrapment/Compression – When a nerve gets pressed constantly between the surrounding structures it can lead to chronic pain.

Nutrition – Lack of adequate nutrition to the cells leads to an over all weakening of the entire system. Movement of the tissues brings about stimulation of the lymphatic system and improves immune function.

Neuromuscular Therapy is used to assist the healing of: Chronic Pain, Sciatica, Rotator Cuff Dysfunction, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Back Pain, Migraines, and other musculoskeletal injuries.

  • Our 4 Phase Gut Restoration Protocol is a comprehensive approach to nourishing and supporting the gastrointestinal system.

Phase I involves clearing the gut of pathogenic microorganisms.

Phase II focuses on balancing and restoring enzymatic activity in the stomach and digestive tract.

Phase III is the re-innoculation phase. During this phase strain-specific probiotics are introduced.

Phase IV focuses on supporting the healing of the gut lining and regulating the body’s inflammatory response.

  • The Lymphatic system is home to the body’s immune system it plays a significant role in the removal of allergic and toxic substances and is a key regulator of inflammation.

This system contains thousands of fluid-filled vessels and nodes that run adjacent to the veins and arteries of the circulatory system.

The lymphatic system circulates lymph fluid in a similar manner as the circulatory system distributes blood.

A key difference between the two is that the circulatory system has a pump (the heart) that powers it’s flow of fluid. The lymphatics do not contain a pump, making it prone to inadequate flow that is known as “stagnation.”

When lymphatic stagnation is present signs and symptoms related to allergy, inflammation, toxicity, and autoimmunity occur.

The focus of our Lymphatic Stimulation service is to restore healthy lymphatic circulation. This can be accomplished by using a combination of Manual Therapies, Healing Devices and Technologies, and lymph-stimulating biochemical agents.

  • Cranial Release is a hands-on manual therapy designed to “unwind” or “release” tight tissue adhesions on the skull, face, jaw, and neck.

The purpose of this technique is to release intra-cranial pressure (the pressure inside of the skull) to restore healthy circulation of cerebrospinal fluid.

Cerebrospinal fluid, or CSF, is the “lifeblood” of the brain and spinal chord. It delivers essential nutrients and hydration to the central nervous system. When the bones on our skull and cranium are too compact, ubiquitous flow of CSF is interrupted.

Interrupted flow of CSF will often manifest as headaches, visual disturbances, ringing in the ears, or face, neck, and jaw pain. There is no limit to the impact that restoring healthy CSF flow can have on the body.

  • Foundation Training is a comprehensive full-body corrective exercise program that emphasizes strengthening the muscles that support the spine, pelvis, ribs, neck, and head - the body's “foundation.”

Due to modern lifestyle, sedentary living and poor posture, most humans are weak in these areas and are susceptible to breakdown and injury. As the “foundation of the body” the spine, pelvis, ribs, neck, and head should be the strongest regions, not the weakest.

The appeal of this system is that it can be practiced anytime and anywhere as all of the “postures” (exercises) are performed using bodyweight against gravity. Foundation Training does not require weights, props, bands, or equipment. To the untrained eye it might resemble Yoga, but in practice it differs significantly; something that usually needs to be experienced to fully understand.

  • Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy or “PEMF” is an FDA-approved, non-invasive technology that uses magnetic energy to heal damaged tissues in the body.

Pulses at low frequencies will pass through the skin and penetrate deep into muscle, bones, tendons, and organs to activate the cell’s energy and encourage its natural repair mechanisms.

PEMF is a non-invasive way to address musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, edema, fatigue, and recovery.
